Can premature ejaculation happen even if you're healthy and fit?
I exercise regularly, eat clean, and don’t feel stressed, but I still struggle with finishing too quickly. Is it possible that PE has nothing to do with fitness or anxiety in some cases? Curious if others have faced the same despite living a healthy lifestyle.

Hello and welcome to 7 Cups 😊
As far as I know, while "the other E" can be influenced by some general health conditions (bot physical and mental) or diet, the problem you mentioned is quite a different story...
It may feel like your body was deceiving you 😕 But some sexologists say it can be more common than it may appear for men around their 30s.
Sadly, it can badly affect many things, like your self-esteem, the way you perceive the quality of your relationship and your value as a man, make you concerned about your health and increase your anxiety about losing your partner.
The problem can be a man's oversensitivity to touch and emotional arousal. Some ethnic groups say those can be trained. Some doctors say some special techniques or using ice cubes may help, but I guess not all of them might be working (e.g. using ice cubes you can easily get bladder's infection, that only makes things worse).
Paradoxically, the more attractive the partner is for you, the more difficult it can be (it's like the nature sabotaging us, prioritizing reproduction over pleasure...). If you feel pressured, hurried, your partner seems scarcely available or you are living in a fear she might be running away from you ('"to find someone better/richer/more attractive"), it's not a good news, too.
If your body is oversensitive, some mild tranquilizers, like a glass of wine (though not very recommended, to not make you associate alcohol with sex) or some herbal medicines (like valerian drops) may help a little.
The good news is those problems usually completely vanish with age 😉
@GillPicard Practice longevity in the gym.
Yes, definitely.
