Sunday again!
Hi everyone! Happy Sunday (again!)
Sometimes, Sundays can bring a sense of dread for the upcoming week especially after a holiday break. Wherever you are in the world, covid may be running rampant right now. I know in my state that we are having over 15,000 cases a day and I know so many people who are positive right now. But despite this, I think it's really important to look at the good side of things! For me, I'm just grateful that this variant isn't as lethal as previous ones. It gives me the chance to take a breath and realize that even though it's nerve-wracking, everything is going to be okay. Maybe since everyone is unfortunately getting it now, there will be herd immunity faster. I think it's really important to remember that we are in control of our happiness always. For me, this means things like practicing self-care and avoiding the news so that I can maintain my sanity :) This week I hope to finish some grad school applications and just work on being kinder to myself. What are some ways you could practice self-care this week?

I feel like the pandemic (really since March 2020 for me) has made me all the more aware of how I'm doing (or not doing) with my self-care.
Thankfully, I had started the habit of meditation a couple years before covid, and boy, am I grateful that I did. It's a practice that I have kept up with to this day. Although the colder, drier air of winter does make the deep-breathing more challenging.
But yeah, I make time to meditate everyday and just make sure that I am treating my body as I should. Especially with regard to sleep and diet.
