A Mini Revolution

It seems like hopelessness and helplessness is hiding around every other moment and as though the smallest steps triggers falls down many flights of stairs.

And if you're anything like me you'd rather not exercise unless necessary or fun.

SO.

Since changing the laws of attraction and gravity and physics aren't in the cards, let's try a mini revolution instead.

A mini revolution is dropping something that no longer is helping one. This could be a person, place or thing.

Example:

Person - Jerry tries to get along with Tom. For decades they've had an on-again, off-again friendship. Someone often becomes very painfully hurt. They've invested so much time in with each other though, it seems silly to end it. Yet if they stay together much longer, one might end up dead.

Place - Alice was born and raised on the vast estate of her parents. She had everything she could ever hope for - security, nice clothes, anything she wanted. But she was an explorer and dreamer and even though it broke her mother's heart she had to leave because if she stayed she would have obliterated her own.

Things - The breakup was hard but the aftermath seemed harder. All around lay the wreckage of the past. A book here, a memory. A chair there, another. These things clung in an unceasing static until their mind could focus on nothing else. Soon things got to the point where if they didn't do what was hard instead of what was comfortable they would be swallowed alive by it.

This could also be aspects of the self. Ways of thinking or believing - patterns - that no longer fit.

In conclusion, a mini revolution is more about changing aspects that are challenging yet not impossible. They're about throwing out the trash, not overthrowing the system. And who knows? If enough people start taking care of their hearth and home, maybe one day the system just might catch on.
