Destressing imagery.
I love to use this meditation whenever I can.
First, destressing your limbs.
1. Breathe in. Imagine your toes turning to stone, unable to move.
2. Breathe out and feel the weight of the stone.
3. Repeat this with your ankles, calves, knees...all the way up to the top of your head, even your hair.
4. Now, breathe in, and feel the stone again.
5. Breathe out, and imagine the stone breaking and disappearing from your toes, leaving them relaxed and rejuvinated.
6. Repeat all the way up your body.
Now to clear your stress.
1. Think of the most relaxing color.
2. Breathe in, and imagine that color filling your toes. Imagine all of your stress clinging to the color.
3. Breathe out, and imagine the color and your stress rushing out with your breath.
4. Repeat for every part of your body.
5. Once this is done, imagine a glowing white aura surrounding you, filling you with positive vibes.
Surprisingly effective! I enjoyed the color destress especially, doing this after my workout and then yoga was incredible and helped me get the first sound sleep I have had in a long time.
Great! I'm so glad you found this helpful!
I really did, and I think its also a good visualization exercise. You should post this in some of the other forums! Healthy visualizing is so underrated.
