Let's Hygge! (Hoo-ga)
Lately I've been reading a book about Hygge, the Danish custom of (coziness? Socialization?) there really isn't a direct translation. Basically, it means taking time out of your day to read a favourite book, light a candle, snuggle up next to a fireplace, or invite a friend over to hang out. It means eating sweets to give yourself a little lift in your day, or wearing fuzzy socks while drinking hot coffee. So my question is: what are you going to do this winter to Hygge?
So funny you posted about this as I was just reading about it this weekend- I'm interested in anything that promotes being cozy! Personally I love to wrap myself in a blanket and read a good book while drinking hot tea while it snows like crazy outside.
@Jill7cups Oh, that sounds awesome! Was the book you're reading called The Little Book of Hygge?

Aww thank you for this thread! I love that tradition - HYGGE - the word sounds so cozy and warm :)
I'm going to light some candles and treat myself to some nice chocolates or something hehe, and snuggle in a warm blanket 💜
Take care everyone!
I actually dedicated a room in my house to it. I use it for meditation and relaxation. I always sit on my little couch in the room under a blanket and drink hot chocolate. I usually listen to ambient fire place sounds on YouTube and journal or read.
