Mindful Parent Challenge week 4!

Finally last week-right. No I am keeping my goal for further work with my family and myself. I lost my head a few times the last few days, but that is due to stressful work days. So now I am adding to my goal. Kids too- we will call out "I need 15" this means they go to their quiet place where ever that maybe and calm themselves with mindfulness skills. This is including me-when I get home from work.. I get 15 too

When my son and I were talking I reminded him that he needed to do his physical so he could do track and field. Now that he is 18 I am making him do more responsibilities of making his own appts.

Little Turtle is asking for wiggle wiggle so I think he is enjoying the music sessions. He seems to think of it as a time out from the real world, which is no bad thing.

The two littlest ones seem calm and like the music. We have had less sleepless nights.

My children have embraced the idea of being caught good. It was a bit of trial and error coming up with a reward system that worked. Instead of unique individual rewards we have a jar to fill. Each time they are caught they get a glass stone to put in the jar. When it's full the whole family get to do something special. The reward at the moment is taking the family to the amusement park.
