YAY look at all those beautiful decorations and the perfect christmas tree. OMG we are excited and maybe a bit overwhelmed-right. Well join me in decorating the tree with some mindfulness.

I have my tree all put together, all bare and green. Looking to make sure the branches are all fixed right and spread out. Winching as the tree gives me a few pokes here and there. I noticed that my tree smella a bit of cinimon from some of the decorations. Also that the tree is "pokie"wink

Now lets go to the many bins of lights and decorations. Feeling a bit of excitment but also overwhelmness. So I take the tree lights and notice they are cool to the touch. I also notice that some of the lights are missingsurprise So I sit with extra lights and see all of them lighted up and pretty as I put the new bulbs in. Wow my eyes see so much pretty color. Now to get the lights on the tree. I have the strands all untangled and ready to walk around the tree many times. I notice how my bare feet feel on the soft carpet. Also the heaviness of the lights draped on my arm. I start to see the pretty lights fill up the tree. Before I know it the lights are all on the tree.

Now for the bulbs and the many other decorations. I take a green ornament and notice it feels cold to the touch and shinie to my eyes. Im not paying attention and the hook scraps my handsad Alright Im going to gently bring my focus back to putting my ornaments on the tree. Wow all these bright bulbs all around the tree-some up high and some dangling down low. They all glimmer from the christmas lights reflecting off them. I notice my thoughts are roaming a bit but only on memories on the kids decorations they made over the years. I notice I cry a bit, but only cause of how much time has past as well as the time we took together to make all these wonderful ornaments.

Ooops I knocked a bulb downsurprise I'm accepting I broke a bulb and not allowing my anxiety to rise. I walk to the kitchen to get the broom and dust pan. Noticing how cold the kitchen floor is and how I got shivers. Also Im humming a song that is playing on the tv. As I clean up the broken bulb, I still see the shinie colors on the broken bulb. It is very pretty even though its broken. Not to the trash. Loud glass noises as it went into the trash. Clean up is done...

Now to continue putting on more ornaments and the angel up on the tree. AAwww more decorations of the kids. I welcome those thoughts of happiness from the past. Or as I grab some decorations that people gave me and no longer are here. I feel certain decorations are smooth or rough-some are a bit heavy like the clay hand prints or the indian feathers on a glass ball. So many that bring back lots of memories and emotions.

Now the angel. She is so beautiful. Fiber optical wings feel so soft. The feathers are white with a shimmer of colors like on a prism. Her hair is dark and feels soft and silky. Her dress is white and soft and so full around th stand. So neautiful...now to get it up on the tip of the three.frown I stretch up high and try hard to balance and not touch the tree. I feel for the tip of the tree and ouch- the points are pokie. Up goes the angel making sure it is straight. Now I plug it in-WOW such beautiful colors to my eyes. I straighten out her dress and move a few ornaments around. Now to stand back and look at the Christmas tree.

So many beautiful colors,red,blue,yellow,pink,green,violet.....all put together. The tree is tall and full, smells like cinnamon. And the beautiful angel at the very top. What a beatiful Christmas treesmiley
