Challenge: savoring the moment
It sounds so simple - savor the moment. But I am wondering how many of us actually take the time to practice savoring moments in our lives routinely?
We all know the drill, we are so busy with work or school and all the responsibilities and stress that comes with those things that our focus is on just getting things done sometimes. Completion is often the end goal and we tell ourselves we will enjoy it all later. Right?
As we start this new year, I wanted to challenge each of us to take a moment today to just savor something good in our lives -- no matter how small or how big. It can be as simple as a beautiful sunset, a random act of kindness from someone or just enjoying your favorite delicious drink or food. Just stepping back and being in the moment to appreciate the positive in your life and how much you are enjoying whatever it is -- that is savoring!
And according to the experts, savoring can increase our sense of well-being and overall happiness.
So now, let's try it! Tell me what you have (or will) savor in your life today❤️

For me, a lot of savoring the moment has a lot to do with being *in* the present moment--that state of mindfulness and awareness that we've talked about.
Right now? I definitely savor the fact that I still have my health in the midst of the pandemic. And that despite getting a non-covid illness from one of my friends earlier, my body threw it off fairly quickly.
But you're right, our days are so full (and usually of things that we have to get done) that it seems like it pretty much takes a concerted effort to remind ourselves that "Hey, I'm actually pretty lucky/fortunate right now."
@sereneSunset26 I will savour my friends and family!
Savoring a special dinner night with family :)
