Progressive Muscular Relaxation (PMR)

If your muscles are tense, Progressive Muscular Relaxation (PMR) can help you relax. In PMR, you tighten up a group of muscles to make them as tightly contracted as possible. You hold them in a state of extreme tension for a few seconds and then relax the muscles to their previous state.

Progressive muscle relaxation has several benefits: development of a feeling of well-being, lowered blood pressure, decreased muscle tension, thereby reducing the body's need for oxygen and reducing fatigue and anxiety.

Have you ever tried PMR? How did it make you feel?

So I can definitely say 'yes' to this question!!

I first came across progressive muscle relaxation when I started doing guided meditations. And it was during one of them where the narrator introduced me to this concept.

Especially when married with meditation, progressive muscle relaxation has proved beneficial by combining physical aspects with the more cerebral parts of meditation itself.

@sereneSunset26

It is a great recommendation to couple progressive muscle relaxation with meditation to gain more benefits, thank you!
