Thinking about what i will do to ease my feelings while focusing on feeling

I am wondering whether i am doing right thing regarding mindfulness. When i am focusing on my feelings i automatically think about what i will do to ease my feelings. For example:

I feel tired during the day. I focus on my being tired. Then i think: "I am going to slow my work pace down." or "I will rest a bit." or "I will drink a cup of coffee.".

Then i start overthinking about:

- if my thought is "I am going to slow my work pace down." or "I will rest a bit." , fear of being late or not accomplishing everything i need in due time pops up. (many times these fears are realistic).

- if my thought is "I will drink a cup of coffee." and i actually drink a cup of coffee, i get anxious about getting addicted to caffeine.

Therefore i get anxious and then focus on my anxiety and start thinking how to avoid these fears which pop up in my head.

Where do i do mistakes in my mindfulness?

Mindfulness is more like this: I'm noticing that I feel tired. Now a thought is coming up that I should do something about being tired. And now I notice how that thought is being replaced by an anxious feeling. Etc.

So whatever comes up, you just notice without having to do anything about it. Thoughts, feelings, sensations, stimuli; all you need to do is observe them as they are.

For me, it's kind of like being in a movie theater and watching the show of my inner and outer life go by.

But even if you think you're doing it wrong, that's just another thought you can notice without having to do anything about it.

@LuckyDucky79 it's observing. Almost like watching clouds in the sky. Just because they are present doesn't mean they will stay or that you have to do anything about them. Watch them come and then watch them leave. You can't control that
