How to begin living again?
@JohnFletcher Making friends in your 30s, finding an accountability partner, and beginning to live again can be challenging but absolutely achievable. Here are some tips for each:
@JohnFletcher
it sounds like you lived once before in the past. A useful exercise may be to reflect on what you considered “living” before, and how you can incorporate some of that into your life now.
@WayJay
remember, the answers we are looking for are in the questions we ask ourselves. Think about the number of times you say “I can’t (do this)” to yourself. If you were to change that internal dialogue to “how can I (do this)?” how much do you think would change?
@JohnFletcher
All the accountability partners who I have ever had I have found online. The best ones I have usually found through joining a group that was occupied with the area that I was looking for accountability for as well.
Making friends in your 30s is less easy but absolutely possible. I have moved to a different part of the country at 32. I knew nobody here. Basicly I started to get involved in activities where I met other people with similar interests. Most of my life I have been volunteering in one way or another. So I took up volunteering again. It took a while. But I did end up with friends.
How to begin living again. That very much depends what you mean by that. I think 7 cups might be a good start for that. Your first two questions sound like you are isolated and on your own. Finding yourself someone to talk to regularly might be a good start. So a path might be to reach out to listeners on here.
