Lost My Motivation, Scared of Losing My Scholarship
Hi everyone. I'm hoping for some advice or just to hear from others who might have gone through something similar.
During my first year of college, I was a very diligent student. I stayed on top of my work, studied in advance, and really excelled in my classes. A huge part of that drive came from my scholarship, which has strict grade requirements. Knowing my family depends on it to afford tuition was a powerful motivator.
Now, in my second year, I still have the scholarship, but my mindset and habits have completely shifted. I've become neglectful of my studies, often only cramming the night before an exam. I know it's not quality work, and I feel a sense of laziness or mental block when I try to sit down and study properly.
The worst part is the cycle I'm in: I know how crucial the scholarship is, but I can't seem to find the motivation. Then, when I get a disappointing grade back, I feel crushed, anxious, and terrified about my future. We're in the middle of midterms right now, and the fear that I might not meet the required GPA is overwhelming.
Has anyone else experienced this sudden loss of motivation after a strong start? How did you break out of the procrastination cycle and reconnect with your drive? Any advice would be so appreciated.

It can be hard to stay motivated and the workload can be exhausting.
What worked for me was breaking things down into small and daily manageable tasks.
Taking regular breaks.
Finding something I loved that wasn't about study .
And keeping my end goal of why I'm doing it insight 💕💜
