Mental health challenges

Hey there!

I wanted to share abit about the last three weeks of my life

Ii obtained a muscle injury that caused me to limit my movement and not even walk at all and stayed in bed for 12 days

Im usually a very active person and i workout almost everyday, i didnt realize how much it helped me and my mental health until it was taken away from me, i have been in a dark place where i saw no way out, i was faced with my biggest fear, being stuck at home and i couldnt do much about it, but it also made me face so many issues that i had ignored, for the first time in my life i cried everyday for the time period, that’s unlike me i usually suppress all of my feelings until i break, it made me realize how much pain and hurt i had been carried, it caused some issues in my relationship as well, now im slowly getting back to normal, i can’t say i will ever be the same but my perspective on life is slowly changing, and it made me appreciate moving and working out so much more and realize most of my stress and worry are from my old wound that are no longer mine to carry, im still trying to navigate all of my feelings and its really hard when you get no external support and dont want it like me :) but this is a reminder that it will eventually get better and to always look for a reason even in the darkest times.

@Gigilovee09

I'm so glad you feel better now and you've highlighted the importance of exercise for our mental health.

And how compassionate of you to come here and share how your week went to aid others 🩷
