Proud of Myself for conquering my fear

Social anxiety used to keep me from living life to the fullest and reaching my full potential. I decided to challenge my fear as a New Years resolution for 2015 and by the end of the year, I entered a speech competition. The results? I was eliminated after the first round because I choked up half way through the speech and forgot it but I am so proud of myself for getting up in front of 100 people. I did something that never would've been possible if I was still gripped with the anxiety that kept me from even leaving the house, going to school or getting a job about a year ago. That event instilled hope in my heart and 2016 is going to be another year of progress.

I'm so happy for you, Scorpio!! I was just diagnosed with anxiety and started to use medication. I'm really scared of everything all the time, and I have panic attacks and I'm scared I will stop going out someday because of my fears! You gave me hope. Congratulations, I'm honestly proud of you!

wow scorpio! that's amazing. you set an attainable goal, with an appropriate time component, and achieved it (since the goal was to participate, not win). that's fantastic. cherish that seed of hope. feed it slow and steady and it'll grow.

I'm proud of myself for facing my daily fear of change, it's scary to me & my life seems to be taking all sorts of changes. But I adapt eventually. I don't know ow why I find it so scary after putting it into those terms. Anyway this year a goal of mine is too try new things step out of my comfort zone!
