A motion picture that moves you!

A nice film I watched years ago is "A Beautiful Mind". To me, the essence of it is, love is the only lasting reality, rest all a passing illusion.

This is a classic Hindi film called Pyaasa (meaning 'thirst') 1957. The film contrasts so well how most of the world gives importance to everything but love and giving.

This film Swami (1977) is beyond the fights of justice and injustice. It's an epitome of how calm, how forgiving, how tolerant, and serene one can be amidst the disturbances and turmoils of life. The protagonist of the film (Girish Karnad acting as Ghanshyam) shows the best of human nature.

Anuradha (1960) is about marital relationship, and the role a woman plays in a man's endeavours. That without her selfless sacrifices, a man could never serve society, and so the man must take to admire and appreciate his wife all along.

My former students at the university suggested this to me because they can relate to the characters (I was teaching at an engineering university). They kept bugging me to watch it back then but I didn't have the time yet until 2017 when our team (in the new work I have) decided to watch this as a prelude to a Halloween horror movie marathon (although for the life of me, I don't know why).

As it turns out, they wanted me to watch a heartwarming story before they scare the s out of me lol. Definitely has an amazing storyline and dance moves which I can still perform :p

I love this so much that I make it a point to watch it once a month <3
