Your first album or most influential
I've seen a few posts and discussions relating to music recently and after a conversation with a friend over coffee today I thought of starting this post.
Music has been a passion of mine throughout my life and it has largely been influenced by buying this album in particular when I was about 16. I couldn't remember the title of a track by Level 42 of their 2nd album titled 'The Chinese Way' that was flying up the charts so bought their first album by mistake. It had lead to appreciating the musicality of the musicians above the vocal and lyrics and an aversion to sing a long pop, with some notable exceptions. This album is considered as Jazz Funk, a fusion of both styles but it this quite simply phenomenal 'slap' bass technique that caught my attention. Music with a dominant bass line or rhythm section has dominated my choices ever since.
If a full album is too lengthy, at least give the track 'Mr. Pink' a listen 😄

My first album was Savage Garden's debut one. As a teen their 2 albums soothed me. The leader singer's independent works have been profoundly influential for me and saved my life many a time.

'toss' made me smile, I used to give albums a 'spin' maybe i should of tried juggling them instead 😉
Currently listening to Pain Of Salvation's One Hour By The Concrete Lake, I'll spin your suggestion next 😄
