does anybody have good song recs?
i'm pretty open to anything genre-wise. :) but if it helps i'm a big fan of PTV, Britney Spears, CSH, Millionaires, etc.
i just want to see what kinds of things people listen to and maybe expand my music taste more :P

Blue October is one of my favorites. Any of their albums 2016 and earlier are worth checking out.
Placebo is another one. Their first 4ish albums are incredible.
I've never heard of CSH or Millionaires. I'll have to give them a listen! Any particular songs to look up?

ty for the recs! ^^ car seat headrest (CSH) has a lot of good songs, some favs of mine are My Boy, Twin Fantasy, and Famous Prophets. But truly I love everything from them. As for Millionaires, they're not for everyone, but I love Prom Dress and I Like Money.

I have a lot of recs. I really love the entire albums Melanchole by Salvia Palth, and Selected Ambient Works Volume #2 by Aphex Twin. Some other albums that I like are Team Sleep's self-titled album, True Romance by Charli XCX, War All The Time by Thursday, and Fallen by Evanescence. I can name so many off the top of my head.
In terms of genres of music, some ambient stuff really helps me chill out. I love white noise, ambient electronic, or lo-fi (not a big fan of classical or jazz music, but I can vibe with it). Vaporwave and retro-wave also help me to relax.
@syrupjpeg I see you also like Pierce the Veil. Pierce the Veil was one of the gateway bands of my emo phase. Bulls in the Bronx was my first favorite PTV song, then King for a Day. After I did some digging, I fell in love with the songs Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides, Today I Saw the Whole World, and The Divine Zero-- I had these on repeat in high school. I honestly think that Misadventures is an underrated Pierce the Veil album, along with A Flair for the Dramatic.
I highly recommend you look into early 2000s screamo bands like Underoath, Thursday, Thrice, The Early November, Dear and the Headlights, and Armor for Sleep. There are two playlists on Spotify: Emo Forever and mEMOries. These playlists got me more into the "elder emo" classics.
