Hi
I’ve been struggling with horrible ocd and anxiety for 3 years now and it just keeps getting worse and I feel like I can’t handle it anymore I feel so alone and no one get it’s . I can barely function anymore . Doing one task takes me so long because of the compulsions. My anxiety is so bad the thoughts literally consume me. I can’t even feel relaxed cuz I’m so stressed all the time. I had exams and I didn’t do well in them because of how bad my ocd is I can’t even have the motivation to study cuz I can’t even focus anymore . I’m 17 and I can’t even get help for this unless I tell my parents which I can never do cuz I feel too embarrassed to talk about it. I don’t want them to think of me differently or treat me differently. I feel so stuck I feel like I won’t be able to make it, I feel like my ocd will make me fail in life and I’m scared I won’t be able to escape it . I would do literally do anything to get rid of this ocd it ruins everything for me .

Breathe <3 You got this. I promise. The worse my stress gets, the worse my OCD gets. Focus on calming the stress, and see if your OCD calms down too <3 *hugs* <3
Hi,
I'm also experiencing a similar thing, I suspect I have pure O though I was not diagnosed. I relate to everything you described, and for me I actually opened up to my parents, I encourage you to do so but I'd advise you to not necessarily expect them to understand, do so with the intent to get them to help you get professional help. I personally regret giving them details you don't have to if you know they won't handle it well (assuming you're struggling with pure O too). Maybe write down what you wanna tell them beforehand, and explain that you don't want to get into details. I'm currently thinking about getting online therapy sessions, you can talk to your parents about it or you can work for the money as you're nearly 18. Let's get better 🤎
Hello, it's really hard to go through this and even more admitting it to closed ones, but if you feel comfortable talking about it with a listener or a therapist it's the first step to start feeling better and hopefully finding ways to manage it from controlling your life.
