OCD intrusive thoughts and false memory

Hi, I am a 17 year old female from the UK and I am looking for other teenagers that are going through similar things to me.

Everytime I’m with friends, family or other daily basic tasks, I always get intrusive thoughts popping into my head about body parts and what they would smell like. Even in situations where everyone’s laughing and it feels like a good time, I still get them. I’m wondering is there anything I can do to stop this? I’ve tried CAMHS and it works a bit. My mum also knows about this and she’s very supportive, I used to do a ‘worrytime’ with her however I stopped to try help my OCD as my psychiatrist suggested I should because it was a compulsion to get reassurance.

With my false memory OCD, I keep on worrying what if I have trauma with family members and that explains why some things link to feelings. However, my mum was there in my childhood all the time and she knows I don’t have it especially with family plus as a kid I told her everything. However it feels like I’m starting to believe it and I don’t know what to do. (ps I’m also on medication for this, sertraline recently went from 100mg to 150mg and I still have these thoughts. However it has helped a bit with anxiety etc)

Thanks for reading. Please give any advice or suggestions in comments, I want to feel normal, and if there are any other teens reading this going through a similar experience I’d love to hear your thoughts 💕
