When i go out i check all the doors and windows 5 or 6 times everytime before i leave and check my front door a further 3 times and still obsess that i have locked something when im out i never stay out long because of it. If i take the car i check every door is locked my pulling the handles and the windows r shut and have to keep checking on the car throught the day.

I also have worries that my youngest will die wheb he isnt with me i do suffer from anxiety so not sure if its just that but i hate been away from him hes only away from me when i have to go to work but i spend all day worrying and obsessing until i get him home with me!

Can anyone help me?

@undefinedandundetermined01

I know this is a really old post I just noticed I didn't see a reply at all. Only a professional psychiatrist, therapist or psychotherapist doing an eval would be able to answer you for sure. Your symptoms do sound very OCD like but can symptomatic of other disorders too like anxiety DO

@Foxheart Hi. I know this is an old post but I didn't see you ever got a reply.... CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an alternative tx. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not so much.
