My compulsions

It started around the time I was 8. I now think it was a way to cope with things going on in my life. It started small, and grew and grew. I suffer from it even today, in small doses. I makes me constantly keep my room dirty, because I know if I get it clean, I won't want to stop. It makes me walk on sidewalks crookedly, and climb stairs in incomprehensible patterns. It is a part of me, but it is not me.

I have a difficult time staying still, always looking to do something. My compulsion prevents me from thinking, feeling and dealing. I also chew gum obsessively which a therapist told me is a means of hiding my true feelings.
