OCD Uncertain

Hi everyone.

I have been suffering a long time, with not believing my own eyes. I would check things about 10 times or continuously stare at things to make sure that they are the way they should be.

I always feel uneasy because I worry that the appliances might still be on, even though I checked it a 100 times to see if it is off. I also struggle with a little anxiety and depression, but I would please like to know if I have symptoms of OCD.

You will have to see a professional to be officially diagnosed, but constantly re-checking appliances and not trusting what your senses tell you was an early sign of the OCD I was later diagnosed with. I would get caught in loops checking the stove, the fridge, the microwave, the door locks, etc. I would constantly jiggle the door knobs to make sure they were locked even though I could see the lock was in the off position. As a personal, non-professional recommendation: I suggest you seek help for this because it can get worse down the road. All the best.
