Sunday Comic: October 23rd 2022
Who doesn't like reading the comics in the Sunday paper?
A short story: my grandfather likes to collect newspaper clippings of his favorite comics from the paper and kept them in a binder. For father's day one year I actually organized them a little into a booklet where they had laminated pages so it would keep the older ones in good shape. Even now I send text funny comics to him. He is 87 and can still text message just fine, which I think is awesome!
Anyways, I wanted to share some comics that might be funny or thought provoking here. Hopefully people can share some comics in the comment section as well. I saw this the other day and thought it captured the experience of those who deal with contamination OCD perfectly.

Do you have contamination OCD or can relate to this image in some way?
I can relate to the guilt, shame, and financial burden of contamination OCD regarding food. I feel bad for all the times I have "wasted" food and how it drained my finances unnecessarily. Eventually with ERP I have gotten better at accepting uncertainty and trusting the food is safe, so I can enjoy what I buy now. Sometimes I still find things a little sus though.
@AmintaBlack First, I love that you did that for your grandfather. How sweet! That's awesome that he knows how to text as well! 💕
I love this comic because it's so true, especially the rule that says "rules can change at any time for any reason." OCD is something that is constantly changing and you never know what the next intrusive thought might be. And they almost never make sense!
Thank you for always working to educate others on OCD! 💛
