Understanding gives me relief

I’ve been doing much more independent research about my OCD after learning about cognitive distortions.

You see, I struggle with Religious guilt and just blamed it on my anxiety for so long. But after doing some of my own self reflection and research i became aware of scrupulosity: a pattern of OCD relating to ‘religious or moral obsessions and compulsions.’  Now, i don’t want to begin self diagnosing or anything because that also causes my anxiety to spike, but i feel like i figured something out for myself and im super duper proud.

my therapy session for yesterday was moved to next week so i haven’t gotten to tell my therapist and dive deeper into the topic. Just wanted someone to know about my development and findings!

@mynamesani

Hi! Thanks for sharing with us your reflections on OCD, guilt and scrupulousity. I guess you might be on a right track!

You saw the river. That's a great achievement itself. Who knows, maybe the coincidentally cancelled visit is a moment for you to take a deep breath before you plunge deeper into it?

Proud for you 👍
