What if it's real?

When we don't get any answers for these "what ifs", does that mean they're real? Is OCD just an excuse for me to stop thinking horrific stuff about myself, accepting it as some disorder when in reality, I'm the only problem? What if it's not OCD at all? What if it's not OCD? If it isn't, what does that make me?

Hey,

Ive been down that same spiral of panic and endless questioning. Its a hideously sinking and crushing feeling and it feels inexcapable when you cant figure out a definitive answer to the 'what if's.' But ive researched about OCD and intrusive thoughts, and learnt that the constant questioning of whether or not you're dealing with OCD, or constantly questioning whether or not the intrusive thoughts you're dealing with are actually OCD or a reflection of yourself -- is literally a symptom of OCD in itself. Its just anxiety and fear in disguise, trying to stir up more panic.

"OCD demands certainty and convinces the sufferer that bad things will happen if theyre not certain. " --> Here are some links to websites that helped me come back down from the panic and questioning. Please remember that you're completley and utterly not alone in this! You, yourself, are completley not the problem. I also understand how hard it is to love yourself when you're dealing with OCD and intrusive thoughts. The intrusive thoughts that I was dealing with made me feel like I didnt deserve love, or happiness of any kind, from anyone - and I want you to know that this isnt true in the slightest. You deserve every peace and every happiness, and you are definitely not the problem.
