TW: Possible heart problems,

Usually, I am not the one to share sensitive things like this, but today I just needed to let it out so I can gain some type of clarity. My daughter was going in to get checked, because she has been sick every since moving down to our new apartment. She has been to the E.R three separate times only for the 3rd time for anything to be truly done. Great, a diagnosis. Anyways, the ped was listening to her heart. An became very silent and said very seriously that she had a heart murmur (yes I know common), but here is where the problem lies, I have an irregular heartbeat, my sister (her aunt) has an enlarged heart with a left ventricle blocked off, and her bio dad has heart issues that he never wanted to look into and address. So the fear is valid for me especially with the heart issues running in the family.. This is where being a mom is hard because hearing the scary things alone makes me worry..

Oh no! I totally get how being a mom can be tough and it's completely valid to feel worried, especially with the heart issues running in the family. Heart murmurs are actually pretty common and often harmless. The important thing is to talk to your daughter's doctor and share your concerns about the family history. They'll be able to give you more info and guide you on any necessary next steps. You're doing a great job looking out for your kiddo, and remember, I'm here if you need someone to talk to or just want some support.
