Changing my mindset
I have a very negative mindset about pretty much everything. I have self esteem and communication issues, anxiety, and overthink too much.
I want to chnage this as its started to impact my life more often now. Im not sure where to start though. From my research, journaling helps to make sense of all the thoughts and feelings, but whenever I try, I just get nervous I guess, and I dont know what to write. Affirmations have not worked for me at all.
Ive considered therapy, but im not able to afford it at the moment.
Any advice is appreciated :)

I hear you 🩷🤗
Affirmations for always sit well with me.
But journalling does.
It doesn't matter what you write.
It's about honesty and getting things off your chest.
It's about allowing yourself the space and time to process and heal
And also to remind yourself everyday, I am worthy, I am good enough, I deserve to be happy, I deserve good things.
Consistency and habit are key for me 🩵🤗
Wishing you the best!

I'm impressed with the things you've been trying to improve your outlook. There are so many things to try but not all of them work for everyone as you found out. Some things that work for me are practicing gratitude and meditating. The gratitude puts a positive spin on your life and shows you that no matter how bad things seem, there are always things to be thankful for. I wish you success in feeling more positive about things, including yourself ❤️❤️❤️

think of the thoughts that are produced by your brain, as just that, unlimited production of the brain. take one negative thought at a time, give yourself time and space, notice how the thought, is not a reflection of the whole truth. when a negative thought has some element of truth in it, our brains usually neglect the nuances and make it more rigid and extreme than it is. your task would be to find out how it isn't the complete truth, and to not give in into believing it.
with current technology, it's possible to search for step by step instructions if you know what to look for. keywords: mindfulness, cognitive distortions, dialectical thinking, acceptance.
the search may be overwhelming at first, don't read everything. fine tune your search to something in plain language that you can follow, a step by step guidance is more important than any theory imo.
