This thread is designed to help you reflect on your growth experience after completing the Preventing Relapse Growth Path.

  1. How did you view relapse before taking this growth path? Has your perspective changed after taking this path?

We got to understand that qualities like perseverance aid relapse prevention.

  1. Would you say you are able to practice more perseverance after getting to know the relapse prevention steps highlighted in this path?

We all slip from time to time.

  1. Do you feel confident in your ability to prevent relapse now that you are able to distinguish a slip from a fall?

Preventing relapse involves identifying our high-risk triggers - a simple way to do this was the 4W method, but logging the ABC’s of our temptations can also help provide us insight.

  1. Which of the two ways (4W or ABC logging) did you find most useful?

The growth path helped us learn and practice various life skills to prevent relapse through managing urges and other temptations.

  1. Which skills would you say did you get to learn and include in your life?

We experienced several activities and created personal coping resources such as the slip plans or cards to help us in our everyday lives.

  1. Which of these activities were your favorite? Feel free to share how any of the resources you worked on helped you.

I took it, and it didn't change my views or teach me anything new, because I had already learned all this stuff before during my past addiction recovery. But I wanted to give you the feedback to say that I thought the growth path was excellent, and it is exactly the kind of stuff that will be super helpful for anyone who is struggling. Well done!

Yes, for sure! It's always good to have reminders of what things have helped us in the past. It can be so easy to end up forgetting the details over time.
