Looking for people to talk to

I'm new to this app and don't really know how to use it so I guess I'm starting here. I need people to talk to. I am feeling so lost in life and don't know how to go about helping myself. I feel totally alone in all of this and finding me tal health help is such a mountain of a chore when you are already struggling.

This last month has been so hard to deal with my mind and emotions. I'm reaching a fork in my road. And the fork in the road is telling me to make a change. My job is ruining mental health and I want to leave but it's more complicated than just leaving.

My job gives me a house(the only house in the whole damn state I can afford alone), good benefits and stability but it all comes with a price in that price right now is the tax it plays on my mental health. My job and house is in a very remote location with limited resources and social outlets. I have no friends nearby and I basically do nothing but work and take care of responsibilities. I don't want to leave my job because I feel like it is irresponsible because I don't know if I will ever find this sort of stability again but I do want to leave my job because it's making me terribly unhappy. Okay so I determined I want to leave my job kind of. I say kind of because my heart gets scared of leaving my job. I am pretty sure I will quit soon and move in with my boyfriend. Because that is my best option right now. It excites me to move in with my boyfriend because I won't be so lonely and I like where he lives more. But where he lives concerns me as well. It is also very isolated and not much resources. This concerns me as I I'm worried about job opportunities nearby. I'm worried about job opportunities because the closest places for me to work are about an hour and a half away. That means 3 hours of commuting. I thought about getting a job from home but I know that can be competitive and I also don't have much relatable experience.

I'm also really struggling because I miss my family. My family lives about 6 hours away from my current home and about 4 hours from my boyfriend's. I find myself missing the comfort I feel when I am around my family or my close friends near my families area. I find myself just wanting to go back home. But it's not an option for me. At least not a good one. As much as I love my family and miss them living together causes me just as much stress if not more then my job does. But being so far from them and only seeing them a handful of times during the year hurts my heart. I want to live close to my family again but their area is completely unaffordable.

I feel incapable of making a decision and I feel like I need to ASAP because I can't continue on the way I'm going.

@Tigerlilyismykitty

Ouch. This is tough. You may have to settle for a job where you are underpaid or sacrifice something. I wanna say no job in the world is worth more than your mental health but reality isn't 2d. The lack of financial stability can also weck your mental health too.

Maybe you can make a list of pro and con and compare them side by side? Is it possible for your job to be majority remote with few in-person requirement?
