Not sure. Used to own one. Gave him away.
Well, they're really fun and cute. Smart too. Sweets didn't quite last 4 years... I think rats are 1-2 years, guinea pigs are 2-8.

She had a back tooth abscess that caused an infection.

It probably was. One of the worst things about prey animals is that they hide their pain, even to their owner. I don't know what degree she was actually suffering before that last day. It got really bad all at once.

Yeah... I feel like she's still with us on some level though. The other two were grieving terribly for a while, especially Nessa. That changed as soon as we put her ashes and her pawprint up on the shelf across from them. It was like a switch was flipped. The others started acting normal again.

Thanks. 😁❤️ Heheh, yeah... I wish I could spend more time with her. She's on adjustment period still. I'm not forcing contact more than I need to, just trying to make her comfy and happy. Mostly I talk to her and offer food and treats.

She's adjusting well I think. She likes it here. As for spending time with her, a lot of forced contact is ill-advised. Right now I'm sitting right next to the cage though, and she's eating lettuce, hidden right on the other side of the bars. She's getting close to me, and that's a really good sign

Find a list of all the foods that guineas can eat. Have them try one a week! Bonus if it's healthy and you eat it too hehe <3
Heh I already sort of do that. They have mixed opinions. One thing they can all agree on is that they absolutely love cilantro. Bell peppers are way up there too. Blueberries and dried rose petals just behind.

You're right, I should do it more. Some stuff is pricy though. I fed them nances and they liked it. I didn't. They're weird yellow berries that taste kind of like a gross cheese.
And it's all good. 😁. Reading and playing new stuff.
Playing Tomb Raider 2, it's really actually better than I remember.
Reading He Who Fights With Monsters by Marc Weitz. It's incredible. Close to finished with it, gonna give it a minimum of a 9/10 I think

Lol, always the biggest concern. Super glad you're feeling better. 😁 I was out in thrift stores today and started feeling really under the weather. I got better again after a while thankfully. Maybe it was all the dust and haunted objects

I dunno... There's a lot going on. My mom has two forms of possible health problems, I have a lot to do over the next weeks. Trying to get a passport and get my hair dyed... Those are the added stresses that I'm actively opting for. The rest is just a lot of car stuff, and taking care of house stuff.

I don't know. She's got a mass on her pancreas, that they don't seem to be too worried about... But they want to check it out. My grandma passed away because of pancreatic cancer... We'll see, she has an appointment today...

I'm getting my hair dyed because my premature gray looks awkward. I always kinda wanted it, but it just doesn't seem me. I'm going with a really dark blue.

I'm sorry to hear it... Same... Rosie woke me up out of deep REM sleep. Closing my eyes, it looked like there was a wall of monitors in front of me, all flashing rapidly and randomly with vague colors or shapes.
What was that all about?
I dunno. I'm guessing it's what our eyes are during REM sleep or something? Or maybe I'm a robot... I'm not discounting that one
