Knight speaking with a Tiny Whisper
@TinyWhisper11
Salutations Tiny,
I hope this message finds you well, and that you are having a delightful day. I am writing to you to see if you would like to engage with me as a penpal. From your prolific forum activity, as well as your undeniable popularity I imagine you may very well be far too busy to take on a further penpal, but I thought I might still ask. I will take no offence if you have neither the time or inclination to write with me in this fashion, and would still think of you just as highly as before.
Have a lovely day. Yours sincerely,
BastionKnight.
@BastionKnight hii sweetie 💖hope your starting to feel a bit better now? There are always new strains of covid going around😕 so perhaps you do have some sort of covid😕 so look after yourself and if your breathing or symptoms get worse or don't seem to be going, perhaps ring your doctor💖 and wrap up and drink plenty, boss Tiny has spoken😁 I just worry about you cause it's not like you don't have your own share of other medical issues right now😕 how is physio going?? Are you getting any stronger??
I'm taking a back seat because yes I've been struggling mentally alot this year, so I want to be more present in the outside of cups world💖 I've been drawing more I made a new art thread😁 and I've just been enjoying sitting outside and being with my pigs😁 also because I'm waiting for my spinal injections they are due soon, and they help so much. But as it gets closer to the next injections the older one seems to really ware out 🙁 so basically I'm in alot of pain and just want to cry alot. But don't worry I will be much better soon 💖
A little warning, Xmas is coming and I will have to start making Xmas jokes alot soon😁😁😁😁 so good luck 💖
Sends healing vibes and piggie kissess your way 💖 I love you 💗
@Tinywhisper11
I have written a reply my friend, but for some reason it will not post. Hopefully this one shall, and if so i shall endeavour to get my original message sent soon.
@Tinywhisper11
Hello Lola, it is as always, a pleasure to hear from you. I am much better, and it is only the cough that is proving a little harder to shake. I have taken onboard advice and will contact the doctor if it becomes necessary *salutes obediently*.
I think it is a very wise move to foster your energies and focus on life away from Cups. There is a big wide world out there, and as much as we are all enriched by your messages of support, your funny comments, and your jokes, the real world should have a chance to experience those sides of Lola too. It goes without saying that we are all very proud of you for how you handle your challenges. And from my personal perspective, I think you deserve a salute...not because everything is alright...not because you are bossing every single moment of every single day...but because even though these things are not always true for you, you still persevere. Do what feels best and what you need my friend, and I will always be in your corner cheering you on.
I am sorry to hear that you are in that limbo between your next spinal injections and the waning effect of the older ones. I would not be so crass as to suggest there is anything positive about it; pain is unpleasant and debilitating and makes things miserable. So, the sooner you get relief the better...you are a hero in so many respects, you don't need the added challenge of proving you can tolerate discomfort. *Writes a memo to myself as a reminder to have some stern words with the universe about allowing pain, and tell it to trouble-fix that issue soon* You cry if you need to cry my dear friend, it doesn't make you any less brave. I send my most gentle and supporting hugs to you for when you need them. I have carefully packed them for you, so they take up very little room and weigh near to nothing, so you can carry them on the back of your wrist and store them until required. There is quite a lot of them, but if you run out, just give me a poke and I shall send more. *Smiles*
I am just checking out your new artwork, so thank you for the heads-up. I have been looking forward to seeing more of your work, and it does not disappoint. They are beautiful. You have an incredible talent with pastels. They are not the easiest medium to use when it comes to detail work, and you show real skill. There is such innocence in your work, it is like seeing the world again with a child's eyes. I am very much enthralled by the picture of the youth with the ghosts emerging from the dark woods. I guessed the youth in it is a boy? but it could easily have been a girl. The ghosts piqued my interest and sparked my imagination about the story behind the picture. It is an interesting and alluring piece. Your other works are also very sweet and all are lovely and have aspects of interest each of their own. It is just that the boy with the blanket, (which is how I see it...not sure if that as your intention, but it looks to me like the amorphous blue in the front is a blanket draped across outstretched arms), to me is poetry in visual form. Kudos.
I am very much looking forward to your Xmas jokes. And I hope you are going to give me more recommendations for less known Christmas songs to keep me entertained.
*Smiles warmly at the notion of the piggie kisses* Those should definitely be on prescription at the NHS, as they are amazingly potent.
Thinking of you my friend and wishing you comfort and happiness.
Your friend, BastionKnight.
@BastionKnight I already run out of hugs, more please😁💖 I'm glad your feeling a bit better, but also I know that coughing and a bad back hurts soooooo much😕 I hope your not in to much pain💖 how is your back and physio going??
Thankyou for always saying nice things about my art😁💖💖 as you know the beauty of art and poetry, is it can mean and connect with people in so many ways💖 I'm glad you liked it😁💖
Still waiting for spinal injections and I'm in alott of pain😥 but otherwise doing well😁 we just had a storm here so I haven't been able to go sit outside for a few days now, but the storm as passed so hoping to go out today😁💖 I've been doing more drawing but it's going slow with the pain. I haven't been been able to do my exercises for a while now. But I'm still in high spirits because it's almost xmasssssssss😁😁😁💖💖💖
More Xmas songs...
Happy people by Tom Gaebel
Must be Santa- Bob Dylan
Merry Christmas,happy holidays - Nsync
@Tinywhisper11 oops! I forgot.... Gives you a giant tiny hug 💗 I love you 💗
@Tinywhisper11
I apologise for the delay in getting back to you my friend but I have been working flat out to get as large a haul of hugs to send to you as possible, and what with all the magical creatures I have had to heard together to get them to you, it has been quite the logistical feat. Needless to say, it is finally done and you should be getting regular drops of express delivery hugs from now until Christmas...just keep an eye out for the pixies, unicorns, hippogriffs, and wyverns they should be coming with. *smiles*
I presume no spinal injections just yet? How are you holding up?
The weather has been a bit gribbly lately hasn't it. Hail and rain nearly every day is making the place feel a lot colder. Hurry up snow is what I say!
I had come across Tom Gaebel before (i forget the name of the song i heard him performing), but i really like Happy People,....it is just soooooo bouncy!! It reminds me a lot of Bing Crosby, and weirdly enough the PC Game 'The Sims'.
Bouncing along singing "Must be Santa, Must be Santa, Must be Santa, Santa Claus!!!"
Aaaah, a classic NYSNC jingle. *Grins*
Thank you for those recommendations, they have buoyed my Christmas spirit and enthusiasm. *Smiles*
@BastionKnight I want snow too 😁😁😁 I've only ever seen and felt snow once and it's amazzzing I want morrreeeee😁😁 spinal injections are due next week😁 I can't wait I'm in incredible pain😥 thanks for all the hugs 💖 I'm not quite ready to come back to cups yet, but I just wanted to let you know I'm ok 💖 I love you 💗 hope you had a great thanksgiving💖💖
@Tinywhisper11
Forgive my belated reply my friend. I have been very remiss in doing things i aught to lately. I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain (i would glady tolerate it on your behalf if it were possible), but next week is coming...relief is not too far now....you can do this Lola!
I know, Snow is awesome, right!? Alas, it is a shame we get it so infrequently in the UK and almost never at Christmas (when we really NEEEEEED it!!!) But I always keep my fingers crossed for it. There is something about the way it deadens all sound, and the soft crumping crunch when you press into freshly fallen deep snow. It makes everything seem so beautiful and cozy and cute and pure. I really, really love it.
Take your time with coming back my friend. There is no hurry. You will not be forgotten, and your return will always be met by fanfares and cheers, because we all adore you. So you take as long as you need. Your message checking in though are very much appreciated, as I certainly think about how you are doing and wish to know when you are okay and when you might need a fresh air drop of emergency gentle hugs.
I know you have mentioned in the past that you are on restrictions with what media you interact with and have your carers acting as a sort of filter for you. (I think maybe the world at large could use something like that anyway....but perhaps i am biased as i do not interact with social media in any meaningful way at all). So I wondered if that also extended to films you might watch. The reason I ask, is i am curious to know if it is not just Christmas music that gets you all giddy, but is there also Christmas films that always make you feel sparkly inside?
For me, i have a few favourites which never cease to make me slightly squishy:
Edward Scissorhands (One of the most beautiful and hauntingly bittersweet films ever, and one i love. Not technically a christmas themed one, but christmas is important as the setting in parts of it.
Th Grinch (I enjoy the orginal cartoon, but the Jim Carey film is just so funny and such a nice feel good christmas film, it makes me smile)
Bernard and the Genie (Very funny, sweet, and such an uplifting story)
Scrooged (I like Bill Murray, he makes me laugh)
Klaus (I didnt think i was going to enjoy it as much as i did. It is a lovely animated film)
Oh, and also, have you ever heard of/ ever read Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs. (And/or Father Christmas goes on Holiday)? They are awesome! They have such a wonderful and unique illustration style, and i really always get in the festive mood when reading them. If you ever get a chance to check them out, i would recommend them for a Chrismtasaphile like yourself.
Hope you are doing well, and are not too uncomfortable. Sending you my fondest regards.
Your friend, BastionKnight,
@BastionKnight I do own a tv and I've tried to watch it many times thread past few years. But it always triggers flashbacks 🙁 my psychiatrist said it's something to do with the movement and noise that seems to confuse my brain and trigger flashbacks. But my carers have been showing me clips on their phones and computers to try and help me get used to it slowly, and I'm getting better some days I can watch a good few clips before I have to turn away😁 so hopefully this time next year I'll be able to watch Xmas movies😁💖
I've had my injections and I'm feeling much better now 😁💖
How are you doing?? Are you coping with the colder weather ok? Sometimes I know injuries and pain can be effected by the cold weather, I hope that's not the case for you 💖
Are you getting excited for xmas??? I can't waittt😁😁😁😁 I wanna open my presents now 😁 oooo! It's advent calendar day tommorow😋 have you got yourself a advent calendar?? If you haven't you should get one💖💖
Hugs you tightly 💖 I love you 💗hope you have a great day 💖
@Tinywhisper11
Salutations most esteemed and lively Lola, I am so pleased to hear that you have had the injections now and that you are more comfortable. I am really feeling your infectious zeal for Christmas and I hope everyone you interact with is getting to feel a portion of that enthusiasm. *Smiles*
I think it is really excellent that you are persevering with small doses of screen time to build up your resilience, and I do hope indeed that someday soon you will get to enjoy Christmas movies as well as all your Xmas song favourites. Speaking of which, I was listening to "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" today and it filled me with bounce and vim.
You need not fret about the cold causing me discomfort, for no inclement weather can wear down my fortress. *Smiles* But I trust you will take all precautions and wrap up warm and cozy so it doesn't bother you, and hopefully *fingers crossed* we can all enjoy some snow this year.
As to a calendar, I have not got one yet this year (very remiss of me I know). Last year I had one that had different dice in each of the compartments (I am a big geek, so interesting/unusual dice really float my boat...sad right!? Ah well, I never intended to be cool *smiles*). Does yours have treats in each window or is it just a hidden picture under each new date?
I love your enthusiasm, but reign in this itchy fingers and leave those presents until Christmas morning....otherwise I have heard that Santa takes them all away again!
I saw the pics you posted of your piggies the other day. They look so sweet!
I have yet to do any present shopping yet. I only have a couple of ideas for one of my sisters, so I need to get my thinking cap on and go a'huntin' around the shops (or maybe online too) for things they might like. Next week is going to be very busy for me, and I have a couple of hospital appointments wedged in as well, so rush rush rush.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend and that your next week is full of things that bring you smiles and lift your heart.
Your friend,
Bastion knight.
@BastionKnight nooo! Santa I'll be good, don't take away my presents 😱😱😂😂 yes hopefully snow soon😁 I'm glad the cold weather doesn't bother you to much 💖
A advent calendar with little dice, I've never seen anything like that before I think it's pretty cool💖 and I think your very cool too 💖 Xmas can definitely be a busy time of year, but I hope you get to slow down sometimes and just enjoy the holidays 💖 I have a grinch advent calendar😁 and the little chocolate inside today was a grinch face shaped chocolate😁😁
You have 2 hospital appointments?? Is everything ok?? How is your cold now?? Has the cough gone??
Sending you hugs 💖 I love you 💗 stay warm and safe 💖
@Tinywhisper11
A Grinch calendar!? That is awesome, and somehow so fitting; I can totally imagine you as one of the Whos down in Whoville. I can see you as a bouncy, fun Dr Seuss created character *smiles*.
Are you planning to play any games or do any activities with your carers over Christmas? Maybe you could DJ your own completely Xmas themed music night for them. Is the home got decorations up? I am so conjuring up and image of your room being decked out with fairy lights, colourful baubles, and twinkly tinsel. I have not done any decorating so far. Been soooooo lazy.
Do not spare a second thought about my hospitality appointments....it's no biggy. Not looking completely forward to having something jammed down my throat and into my tummy, but on the plus side, it gives me an excuse for ice-cream later! See, everything always has a silver lining....just like chocolate wrappers, and robotic magpies' eggs.
Speaking of ice-cream, have you convinced your cooks at the home to whip up some festive flavoured flurries for you? Gingerbread and vanilla maybe? Honey, chestnut, and cinnamon perhaps? Or maybe even a Christmas pudding flavoured one?
You mentioned in your last message that you had been feeling better after the injections, (which is excellent and great to hear), but how are you in regards to all other aspects? Not trying to pry, my friend, and if you would rather not say that is totally fine and I would take no offence. I am neither anticipating things being challenging not super-duper, but rather just want you to know that I think about how things might be going for you and care about you. So if you ever want to say anything, whether it is cheering for something that made you happy or talking about something that made you sad, I am here for you. No talk is too big or too small.
I am hoping this message finds you in full festive feeling and enjoying yourself, snuggled in the warm and doing things which brings you pleasure and joy.
Fondest regards,
BastionKnight
@Tinywhisper11
Christmas is nearly upon us, and i hope it is filling you with giggly giddy goodness and gregariously gracious largess.
I have some things i hope might amuse:
A man assaulted another person with a pint of milk! ....How DAIRY!!
What did the janitor shout when he leapt from the closet? ..."SUPPLIES!!!"
The little boy looked up to his father and asked "Dad, do you know what an eclipse is?". His dad replied "No son"
I stayed up all night to see where the sun went....then it dawned on me.
I hope these silly wordplay jokes gave you a smile.
Thinking of you my friend. Take care.
BastionKnight.
@BastionKnight
Salutations Lola,
Just sending you this message to see how you are faring. It has been a long time since we shared any words, and you are greatly missed. I hope everything has been going well for you and that the challenges you were tackling towards the end of last year are proving less irksome for you.
If you get a chance, if you could just give us the nod that you are doing okay, it would be very much appreciated.
Hope you are having your full of ice-cream, playing with your piggies, creating more fabulous pieces of art, and generally being all round awesome.
Your friend,
BastionKnight.
@BastionKnight
Hello Lola,
Though I have seen you post a few times lately, your presence has seemed somewhat subdued. I am hoping this is because you are taking advantage of more the clement weather and spending time in pursuits away from screens.
Just wanted to let you know you are thought about, and that your many supporters here are always pleased to hear from you.
