I’ll try to answer your questions in as much detail as I can. Feel free to ask anything. Nothing is too personal.

@M47rixkl Hello there! If you do not mind sharing, when did you receive your diagnosis and how have you been handling it since then?

I was diagnosed after juvenile (I had just turned 18). I did know about it before. I am very interested in psychology and i realized that the description matched me really well. I have been handling it very well. My family is fine with keeping it to ourselves so my friends and school does not know. Not much has changed. I have to go to therapy every now and then and talk about it. The only annoying thing about that is that they never pick a good time. My family took it well. My younger brother does not understand what it means. He’s diagnosed with autism and ADD. My mother says they made a mistake. She thinks I was wrongly diagnosed. My dad jokes about it sometimes but thats it. They are all very stuck with the perfect image of me and they do not want to let go of it. That’s fine for me. It sucks to be diagnosed because now people get a reason to treat me differently. Not many people understand my diagnosis. But at the same time, not many people knows.

Hello @M47rixkl

Have you ever hoped or thought that you might be "cured" one day? Or feel the amount of empathy the average human should feel?

I might have more questions in the future, but thanks if you're replying to this.

@M47rixkl I'm curious why you would like to be asked questions. And how do you manage to cope around others?

I'm hoping you will be able to provide me with an answer, as this is something that has been bothering me for quite a long time now:
my ex-boyfriend was a diagnosed sociopath. i researched the tendencies and knew he would eventually discard of me after he succeed in getting what he wanted from me. when we broke up, his excuse was moving and i thought that was going to be the end of our story, however we maintained contact with each other. we have continued to be deeply involved with each other and we cannot seem to leave one another alone. either of us have tried to break things off, however we never succeed, as we are always coming back to each other. i am asking you as a fellow diagnosed sociopath what you think his thoughts are in keeping me around and whether or not i should stay with him. he has told me i am his favorite person and he occasionally shows he cares about me, however he does not want a relationship with me.
i sound like a person suffering the stockholm's syndrome. and i probably am.
i do believe i love him, as i have witness all parts of him, the bad the ugly the nice and what he wants me to see, and i continue to believe there could potentially be something between us.
what are your thoughts on this?
