I was diagnosed with BPD almost four years ago. I have made a point of learning as much as I can about BPD and working to see how it impacts me and my everyday life. I am doing way better mentally than I was when I was first diagnosed.

The only issue is that my mom does not believe that I have BPD & the my diagnosis is not correct/true. What do I do? I have resorted to just not talking about BPD or any mental health issues but its somehow always Brought up in conversation.

@amyroses One thing you can try is providing your mother with an information handout from a trustworthy source. Here are some examples:

This booklet is from The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health: psychiatric teaching hospital located in Toronto.
https://www.camh.ca/-/media/files/guides-and-publications/borderline-guide-en.pdf

National Educational Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEA-BPD): A non-profit organization focused on families that aims to provide education regarding BPD.
Here is their website: https://www.borderlinepersonalitydisorder.org/

You can also try sources such as NAMI, Medline Plus, or Mind UK.

Good luck!
