Almost abandoned
I had an episode with my girlfriend and we almost broke up. She showed her family my episode and her family hates me now, they won't help with anything anymore. I feel horrible, I try to explain my episodes and no one takes them seriously since BPD isn't taken seriously either. It's dismissed and I'm seen as a monster.
I've been called horrible names by someone I thought was a parental figure and, although we haven't separated, me and my girlfriend aren't going to be the same, especially me and her family.
I feel like I've been abandoned and I feel like a monster.
I wish I had people to talk to who won't hate me.

Hello there!
I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be really tough and challenging for you to have had a bpd episode and especially in front of her family. You are not a monster! And don't let anyone think that you are one, you are a beautiful person and we all have flaws that we need to work on. You are a human and not a monster.
Talking to someone about what BPD can really help! There are many wonderful and compassionate listeners that are ready to support and listen to you. You can browse the listener page here: https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/. And we won't judge you, you are free to send a message to any listener but a tip is to look if they have "BPD" under direct/lived experiences as these might be a better fit of listeners who can help you and understand BPD and how to better manage it.
Best wishes! <3
