@easyOak6695

I believe when it comes to any mental health condition, every person’s experience with it is unique. There is no right or way to experience it/ look it. Especially with a complex condition like bpd. What’s importance is getting the help to manage your symptoms. I don’t think your experience is any less valid <3💜

@easyOak6695 Oh dude can I relate to this. I was a little bit *** when my psychiatrist and therapist started bringing up BPD at first. I don't want a personality disorder and what does that even mean.... That I'm "broken?" No. That's unacceptable to me. I've been being treated for ADHD and the meds are the first thing that have worked for me since I started my mental health journey in 2018. I've also been told I possibly share in the traits as well, not so much that I have BPD.

Anyway I've been sitting with the BPD stuff for a few months now and generally I find it more acceptable. I have a disorganized attachment I've been working on so I can definitely relate to the abandonment issues. I also really struggle with black and white thinking hardcore. Grey area can be intolerable for me.

What changed for me was when I started looking at what ACT therapy and DBT therapy is (commonly used to treat BPD)... I think they make a lot of sense and I find them agreeable. Also, Google "Whole Object Relations" and "Object Constancy" both of those are about black and white thinking and healing them is about embracing ambiguity. And the beauty is that these things can absolutely be managed and increase your threshold for emotional intimacy, which personally I find comfort it.

Also, I like what Joy said too. All mental health is a spectrum because everyone is so different. I find that most disorder overlay and overlap one another anyway, so really it just depends and no one know you best but you.
