Help with need for constant validation please?
Hi I was wondering if I could get some support...I'm having a bit of an emotional relapse right now, and I'm struggling really bad with my BPD thoughts. I keep wanting to double check (read: ask a million times) with everyone that I'm not messing things up and they aren't mad at me and they won't leave me because I'm really scared everyone is going to leave me. Like, I'm really scared everyone's going to leave me. And I'm freaking out about that and a million other things, but I know people leave if you ask them a dozen times if you are being annoying and I shouldn't need constant validation or reassurance. But I do need it, and I want help finding a way to, i don't know, either get the validation I feel I need, find a way to be okay with the reassurance i get, or get rid of this entirely. So if anyone could help, that would be great. (sorry)

Well I hope you can find the right help for you here. You are welcome to talk to me anytime but I really don't have much experience with BPD. Just mainly depression. But yeah everyone wants to feel needed and it's a wonderful feeling when people appreciate you
@50verylargekiwis I'm sorry you are going through this. I am going through a similar struggle right now, checking with my boyfriend very often to make sure we're okay, and then feeling worried that I keep checking and am annoying him. I usually try to do some deep breathing, distract myself with a fun activity, and remind myself that although it doesn't feel llike it right now, the people who are in my life are there because they want to be. I am also making a concious effort to ask if I am loved in a way that is healthy, rather than testing people to make them prove their love.
