Time off

So I'm a carer that's worked the pandemic, 60 plus hours a week. I've taken some time off because I've felt totally isolated at work and haven't had much of a support system since this whole pandemic started. day two my mind is all over the place, I need to focus on something that isn't work but that's hard for me. I never really got on with mindfulness and my go so was self soothing with music but even that now seems to set off memories that mess with my emotions, same with old films. Even now with my job I used to look forward to it, going in and taking the people out in the the community but it's so hard being stuck in the same house everyday trying to keep positive for the clients. I feel exhausted and I know this time off is needed but I don't want to end up in a constant wave of anxiety or this time will be wasted.

@colourfulhair90 It must be rough that you can unwind even though you want to, but I'm glad you're taking time off anyway. Would watching new movies (light-hearted comedy perhaps) or doing something new (doodling silly stuff) help? If you don't feel better yet, it's still important that you are trying and are patient with your moods. Don't put too much pressure on feeling better, that's a good first step to getting there. Love you.
