Yup, there's a forum rule related to medical advice:
6. Giving medical advice is not permitted. Medication and drug names may be shared, but precise dosages or suggestions to take specific medications may not.
But I don't think it's breaking the rules for someone to share their own personal experiences with a particular medication. It would probably start to cross a line though if someone were to say something like, "Oh, this medication works miracles and you should definitely try it". 
Hope you're able to find someone in real life who can help with figuring out the meds situation and prescribing if necessary. It looks like there are a lot of different options out there.
