loved one with bpd

hello! my friend has bpd and lately their symptoms have been really bad. is there anything i can say or do to help them feel better? also what are the things i should absolutely avoid saying or doing? any and all help is appreciated, thank you! (we are long distance friends)

Hi, thanks for posting and that's really kind of you to want to help them and avoid hurting them. 💜

Everything in the section "Communication tips" is really great and I think this sentence (from a little bit before that section) sums it up nicely: "Listening to your loved one and acknowledging their feelings is one of the best ways to help someone with BPD calm down."
