BPD Rage Blackouts

Hi I'm struggling. I've been told I've had 2 BPD anger blackouts. I don't know what is triggering them. One minute I feel ok and then I feel rage buildup and then I blackout. I am covered in bruises and sore muscles. I tried to hurt myself and my partner tried to stop it by holding me until I came out of it. I don't remember any of it. It's super scary!!! I called my therapist office and they told me basically to go to the hospital if it happens again. Some Healthcare system we have. I am so worried I will hurt my boyfriend or myself. Any tips or pointers??

🥺

I'm so sorry you reached out for help and the hospital gave you so little.

This sounds intense, for you both and scary.

It's important to keep a journal.

Learn to identify triggers.

Write them down and thus will enable you to manage stress and heightened emotions and have a safe word with your bf, so it'll ensure both of you are safe and go straight down to the hospital without ringing if it persists 💕💜

Hi Amanda, the journal is a good idea and the safe word is a great idea. Thank you for responding I feel so alone with this. I am pulling away from my boyfriend and I can't help it.... he deserves a better healthy woman. Not some psycho angry woman.

I feel like checking into the hospital now but I have a dog and little parrot to care for.

@first48fan

You are not a psycho , and nor are you unhealthy.

You obviously love him or you wouldn't care or be trying to find solutions to cope in your daily life.

BPD is not your whole definition.

You deserve love too, don't forget that 💜
