Fear of abandonment

so from when I was young I went through a lot of childhood trauma which led me to being passed around foster homes. As I got older my mental health has been really bad, every time I get in a relationship I always think that person is gonna abandon me and that I’ll be all alone and that no one will ever love me again. Then once I have a break up it turns me crazy like my whole life has just fell apart because I more or less made that person my favourite person. But once you have that break up you start overthinking and going mental wondering if it was you that’s the problem or was it because I’m not easy to love or if I’m over weight or is there better looking people than me and then I start banging my head off the wall and having a mental break down because I can’t take what I’m feeling anymore! Does anyone else have any of these symptoms ?

Hi there, sorry to hear about your difficult childhood. It surely had an impact that causes you to struggle when it's needed to process difficult relationship situations.  Break up is not easy for everyone but surely for you it's even more difficult.

Hope someone that experienced the same can post here to share how they faced it.

Try not to see yourself like the only cause of the break up, what about to start practicing self acceptance and self gratitude? I've heard it helps people having a better balance in facing difficult situations that involve them in relationships and interactions with others.

Sending you good vibes 💙
