Hi i’m 22 and a female. I recently got diagnosed with BPD and now i don’t like how i look at myself. i’m a bad person to me and i feel like others see that and just don’t say anything or try to be nice and im just scared of being abandoned by everybody in my life and ending up alone. i’m always too much for people to handle and i need support

@EphieBean22

 Having the diagnosis means having an opportunity to address the symptoms and receive help. Having any diagnosis doesn't make a person "bad." If you are not a bad person for having caught a cold, you're also not a bad person for having this diagnosis.

Those who are around you are used to you being as you are. Unless you tell them, they won't know about the diagnosis. If BPD has affected your relationship with those around you, odds are they will be pleasantly surprised as therapy improves the symptoms.

If you want to talk about it more, please message me.

You're not alone! I got a completely different diagnosis but I had the same feelings. What helped me the most was remembering that I wouldn't have had to deal with this if I couldn't handle it. All those feelings are valid and good luck on this Rocky Road 💜 (I've e actually never tried Rocky Road ice cream lol).
