I need help
I genuinely don't know how to feel or help process emotion- at at this point it feels impossible to learn. 90% of the time it just feels like I glaze out when ever my partner or anyone else I have a relationship with tries to express any sort of feelings, and I have none to show or give. It feels like I have to mask up for everyone and I am not good at that.
I am currently undiagnosed and trying my best. Emotions are confusing and I don't know how to properly show the right response to emotions displayed, And, what's even more confusing is that my emotions are null in void. I can't feel my emotions, and it's causing problems with all of my relationships.

i can't imagine how difficult it must be, undiagnosed and not knowing what exactly is the issue. have you talked to anyone around you about this? to ease off the weight of it all just a little bit? i know i can't be of much help, seeing my inexperience and that i kind of go through the same thing but i just want you to know that you're not alone(if that means anything) and that you'll eventually figure it out💙 hang in there
Thank you for that! And as for telling people around me I've tried but it feels like they don't understand or get hurt when I tell them I don't understand their feelings (which is warranted). I just feel like I can never get past the "aquaintance" stage of any of my relationships 😅
@AddiZorin
oh yeah, i can see how some people wouldn't understand, it's hard to do so when you're not experiencing it yourself. in my opinion, people need to get out of their heads sometimes and see that not everybody's the same😅
if u can't pass the acquaintance phase, how about asking the person to help you get closer to them like "i want to be more than just acquaintances but i don't know how to go from here" maybe the person would make efforts that way, idk if it will work for everybody though!

Some of what you're describing, like difficulty with emotions, masking, and disconnecting can sometimes show up in people on the autism spectrum, or even in certain personality disorders. I can’t say what fits you personally, but I wanted to share that with you. :)
In your case, masking is a form of depersonalization. Everyone does it. When we don't feel safe being ourselves, sharing our thoughts, or expressing emotions, we mask. It's not limited to any one disorder.
Masking is an adaptation for survival.
As far as processing emotions is concerned, what you're struggling with is actually very common in Autism. It's called introspection. Introspection is the ability to look inward and observe your thoughts and feelings.
When you mention glazing out, some people experience this as a response to anxiety, especially if masking or people-pleasing has become a go-to habit. It can be a way the brain tries to protect itself from emotional overload.
