Hello @ballo2016muezza, Firstly welcome to 7 Cups! I'm glad that you found your way here, reaching out and sharing something personal takes a lot of courage.

I can hear how uncomfortable and vulnerable this pattern feels for you. Getting overly friendly with clients or people around you can leave you feeling exposed, unsure of your boundaries and worried about your safety. That's a really human experience, especially if you're someone who naturally connects easily or wants to make others feel comfortable.

It can be particularly difficult when we have a fear of abandonment or difficulties with attachment. You mentioned wanting to be safe, and that's completely valid. Safety can look different for everyone, and you don't have to change who you are to find ways to protect yourself that feel exposed.

I know for me sometime it helps to take a step back in moments where I may feel more vulnerable to slow down the conversation, keep things professional and give myself a moment to reflect before I share something personal.

If you'd like to share more about your work or discuss some of the areas you are worried about, you are more than welcome. You can discuss with people who understand on this forum, or by connecting to a 1:1 listener if you'd like someone to listen privately.

Sending virtual hugs 💜

Hi, welcome to 7 Cups 💜 I'm curious about what you said when you mentioned that you're vulnerable. Do you feel unsafe when you're being friendly with clients and people in general, or have you had any bad experiences as a result of being friendly with people?

Trying to understand what the "dark side" of friendliness is that warrants trying to change how you naturally interact with people.
