lately i’ve been feeling like im 2 different people, there’s the kind version of me and then there’s the version that nobody likes cause im always arguing with people over nothing and it’s the smallest things that trigger me, it’s like a switch in my head that just goes off and i don’t know it actually feels like im dissociating, as if im floating above my body and watching everything unfold but im not in control of what i do or say, it’s making me feel insane, im losing a lot of people that i actually care about and thats the hardest part about dealing with this cause they never know what to expect from me. it’s draining and i feel like i need help but no one’s there to listen

Hi, that makes sense. There's like a normal you that gets along reasonably well with everyone, but then if you get triggered or feel hurt or scared, this other side kicks in that's more reactive/impulsive and a lot of your normal behavior sort of goes out the window.

If you decide to explore therapy, DBT would probably be pretty helpful. A big part of it involves learning and mastering different skills that overall help with noticing feelings as they're occurring (mindfulness) and finding different ways of processing them (distress tolerance, emotion regulation) that help create a space between feeling a certain way and acting on it
