What is the best Remotivation Therapy needed by a NPD?
Can someone suggest or tell, what is the best Remotivation Therapy Activities that is allowed or that might help a person with NPD?

Hi there. I'm pretty unfamiliar with remotivation therapy and hadn't heard of it until I saw your post, but I did some research and tried to find out what I could.
General info about remotivation therapy
It looks like practicing remotivation therapy requires either becoming certified by the National Remotivation Therapy Organization or having supervision from someone else who has been certified. I tried to visit the website for this organization (https://www.remotivation.com) to get more information but it looks like the domain has expired.
Overview: "The remotivation therapist guides the group through 5 steps: creating a climate of acceptance (greetings), bridge to reality (poetry reading), sharing the world we live in (open-ended questions), an appreciation of the work of the world (sharing opinions and values), and climate of acceptance (summary and closure)."

General info about NPD treatment goals and therapy modalities
Per GoodTherapy: "Effective therapy focuses on two components of NPD: (1) the emotions and beliefs that drive NPD, such as entitlement; and (2) the behaviors associated with narcissism. Effective therapy involves helping a person with NPD understand how their emotions drive their behavior. A therapist can then work with a client to set goals for behavior changes."
There isn't a gold standard therapy for NPD, but forms of therapy that have been suggested as helpful include:
- Psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Dialectical behavior therapy
- Mentalization therapy
- Schema therapy
- Transference-focused therapy

Response to your question
My general impression is that most of the forms of therapy that are designed to treat NPD involve deeper or more intensive exploration of mental processes and behaviors than what remotivation therapy involves, and remotivation therapy might not be the best intervention for helping someone who has NPD.
I wasn't able to find anything describing how to apply or modify remotivation therapy for specific mental health conditions. I also haven't been able to find research supporting the efficacy of remotivation therapy for treating any mental health conditions.
- If you're a practitioner of remotivation therapy and really want to work with a client who has NPD, it might be best to either reach out to the certifying organization (if they still exist) or consult a handbook for guidance.
- If you're a sufferer of NPD seeking therapy, I would recommend looking for a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in one of the forms of therapy listed above.
