Poem day 13 (I think, I'm losing count)
Posting on new thread because it's easier and other one has too many pages for me
This poem is sort of the mood of a silly goofy song where the person is barely singing and they're just yelling with some acoustic guitar in the background! Enjoy the chaos!
Who Needs Words?
A moment of kindness
A heart in your chest
Can you feel it beating
Even through the stress?
These words don't make sense
Just typing on a screen!
Chaos, madness, shouting
Words that all remain unseen
We don't have to stay the same!
We change and shift like clay
I guess it's all just to
Keep the thoughts at bay
We drown and shout swim
Amidst the ocean of dispair!
Grasping at the surface
But all I grab is air!
But it's alright, I'll learn to swim!
Blue abyss with jellyfish!
Thrash and kick to keep afloat
Surviving's just a wish!
Pass out in the bathroom
For the second time that day!
But it's okay, I'll watch the water
Go from clear to grey!
Insane Insane Insane
I've been called so many times
But can someone as crazy as me
Come up with all these rhymes?
You'll forget this in an hour!
Move on with you life
And I'll forget it too
At least until the afterlife!
Makes no sense, makes no sense!
Yelling through the empty room
Someone grab an interpreter
So someone can hear me soon!
We change and that's okay!
We all used to be happy!
Kids are so innocent, aren't they?
At least until the parents get snappy
But I need the trauma for my art
And the stories for my books!
As I cry in front of the mirror
Over my hair and all my looks!
Cry and laugh, Cry and laugh
It's a repeat everyday
When was the last time I smiled true?
Who knows! It never stays!
Poem Day 14

Beg For My Forgiveness
I want you to beg
Beg me for forgiveness
My dear Mother, and my dear Friend
But first
Dear Mother,
I don't want you to cry
About how you're such a bad parent
How you created this monster
Standing in front of you
How you projected your anger
Onto your firstborn child
Because you excused your actions
And felt so empowered
No...
I want you to beg
Beg me for mercy
As you sit on your knees
Hands clasped in front of you
I want you to feel every bruise
You inflicted on my body
I want you to feel
Every emotion I felt
During those hellish years
Every time you shoved me down
To make yourself feel better
Every time you slapped my face
And told me to shut up
I want you to beg
And feel my pain
Every hurtful word
Every agonizing truth
And I'll just watch
No mercy, no caring
Because that's what you did
When I was on my knees
Dear Friend,
I don't want you to cry
About how you went through so much
How you wanted to be like me
How you craved all that attention
Because you suffered so much
Vented every problem to me
And I helped you through
And this is what I got in return
No...
I want you to beg
Beg me for mercy
As you sit on your knees
Hands clasped in front of you
I want you to feel every pain
That I inflicted on myself
From the stress and the guilt
Of managing your problems
I want you to feel
Every invalidation
Every doubt that crossed my mind
As I ignored the red flags
And let the hurt happen
I want you to beg
And feel my pain
Every hurtful word
Every agonizing truth
And I'll just watch
No mercy, no caring
Because that's what you did
When I was on my knees
I want to hear
You beg for me
For my forgiveness
For my mercy
Because if you felt
Every pain I had
Every bruise, every word
Every cut I gave myself...
You wouldn't last
And you'd be crying out
Begging for the help
That you never gave.
