Don’t leave me alone, oh can you please stay?
I have no talent to offer and no wise words to say.
I’m broken and bruised, and I can’t heal your heart,
but would you please sit here with me through the dark?
I say I don’t need you, that I’m fine by myself-
but I’ve been there and done that and now I need help
For I want so much to leave, so give me a reason
To stay through the pain, and wait out this season.
Don’t leave me alone, oh can you please stay?
For it’s midnight right now, and not yet close to day.
I’m flawed and I’m wounded, I can’t see the sun,
but I’m beginning to think that we all need someone.
I’ve lost many already, we all have, I know
but I’m so very tired of death’s painful blows
I don’t deserve kindness- I’ve not much to give,
But would you stay here with me, and show me how to live?

This is beautiful. Just superb. It’s a feeling that can be described but you, you have wrote it in a poem so majestically. It’s relatable when you’re broken, when you have nobody, when you have no shoulder to cry on but then you see a person. That person is that somebody who you can trust. This poem is wonderful. Don’t stop writing Poet/Poetess! You can do it!
