be kind to self
Kind to self
what do we do now
when we been taught by others we not worth anything at all]
the negative messages repeating within
saying we to not be kind to us
we hear them loudly the messages from the past
your so stupid why can you not never do things right
your so slow that a turtle faster then you
your ugly and look like a mac truck as your so fat
you never amount to anything at all
your a female so only good for sex and housework
your to boyish if I did not know you was a girl I think you was a boy
your female so you have to stay home or have another family member with you as you can not be trusted when out
all them messages and more repeated and repeat within our mind
we know we should no longer believe them but at times we still do and repeat them within
then we lash out at self hurting body even thinking we deserve that too
but now we stop and say be kind to self as ecen if others not we can be to us
so take a deep breath and flip the messages around to new ones that show kindness to self
your enough just as you be
your smart in many different ways
your worth so much just take time to see that
your pretty and your will always be
your heart for others is big and bright
you can be trusted even around others you not need others to babysit you
you can do anything you set your mind to do even as a girl
being fat not a shameful thing at all you be pritty even if your overweight
so be kind to self say positive statements to self as in the end you start to believe them
take time for you as that a step to being kind to self too
we no longer have to believe them things they said to us
do not allow them to control ones thoughts even after ones free from them in person
learn a new way to live a kind to self way it far better then the old ways and beliefs
@stormieandpaws
This made me cry 🥺
Youve been through so much, yet you are so kind, and warm and compassionate.
That moves me.
Your words are haunting.
Vivid.
The imagery is raw .
The insults, the fears, the thoughts, they play like a continuous loop , tormenting you, twisting their way into your mind, trucking you into believing them.
They become your image of yourself.
Hard to escape.
Until one day you are greeted with kindness, a compliment, a smile, and slowly you start to see, there's good out there, you deserve happiness, and peace and these words never defined you, they were never true, shattered into a million pieces on the floor 💕💜
@Amanda84
thank you we kind to others due to all the unkindness to us over the years the hardest thing was learning to be kind to self even as a child people said we was kind and thoughtful but within we was hurting but not showing it due to fear of being hurt more by the abusersÂ
we even within the *** had some that was kind to us like the lady and her family down the road that took us to church 2 days a week and the older couple that lived next-door to us at one point too
kindness is seeing the broken world and setting out to change it one person at a time one kind word or deed at a time it also ones heart showing to others
