A Shadow of the Past
She watched it fade away into the distance.
Lost forever... But somehow still here.
Where it will forever be embedded into the recess' of her mind.
This pain is all she knows.
It's the only thing she feels.
All her lies collided.
The ache of knowing everything was going to change hurt her the most.
She knows it has to end... But where does it start?
She watched pieces of herself shrivel up and float away.
The darkness took over.
It was never going to stay for very long.
This isn't what it intended for her.
What is she doing this for?
There is so much she hasn't seen... But she's also seen too much.
There is so much she will never understand.
The scars are part of her; darkness and harmony.
It left knowing it had no other choice.
It was the best option... But also the one that hurt the most.
She knows this pain will leave her.
But where is the finish line?
